The Flipped Classroom

I have been learning about what a flipped classroom is in my instructional strategy course.
It is essentially what it sounds like….
Mini lessons are created into video format and allows students to watch the lesson while at home and leaves classroom time for questions, activities and collaborative thinking.

The pros to this:
More time in the classroom to work one on one with students who are struggling
You reach a higher level of learning
Integrating technology into the classroom (well, outside)

The cons to this:
Not all students have computers at home
Can be too much time working at home

Watch the video here and see what you think of this strategy
